Why Alloy Wheels For Your Vehicle?

Alloy Wheels

The alloy wheels are made from an alloy of magnesium or aluminum that are used for vehicles like bikes, cars and trucks. The major component that contributes towards alloy composition is the aluminum. Alloy wheels are entirely different from the steel wheels and also the strongest than the steel.

Alloy Vs Steel

In some of the car models, alloy wheels also come as an OEM fitment and therefore can be installed in almost every car in the market as an upgrade to the car.

Changing of the Wheel

The standard issue faced by most of the cars regarding wheels is to keep the cost of the wheel as little as possible and maintain a differentiation among various types of trims. The changing of wheels gives an opportunity to further upgrade the performance and aesthetics of your car as per your choice. The car wheel alloys in Nagpur are made of pure alloys of aluminum.

Engineers view about Alloy Wheels

1.      The lower un-sprung weight offers you a smoother ride. The alloy wheels are in fact lighter for the same size of steel wheels which gives more structural strength. The lightweight wheels improve the handling, thereby reducing the un-sprung mass and allow the suspension to follow the terrain more closely and improve the overall grip.

2.      The alloy of aluminium that is used for wheels has a superior thermal conductivity (>150 Watts per Kelvin per meter) than a steel (45 Watts per Kelvin per meter). A better conduction of heat helps to dissipate heat from the brakes and also improves the braking performance in more demanding driving situations and lowers the risk of “brake failure". It also decreases the brake fading and helps prolong the life of the tyre.

3.      A better corrosion resistance is offered by the alloy wheel, which does not rust internally like steel wheels and therefore last the life of a vehicle.

4.      The alloy wheels are the strongest than the regular steel wheels and resist deformations. This makes it more suitable for new generation tubeless tyres where the bead seats retain its proper shape.

Designing of Alloy Wheels

Designers view about Alloy Wheels

The wheel of an alloy having a design is an important upgrade which will enhance the look of a car and stretch its personality. A standard stock car looks classy or modern with the right alloy wheels.
A new set of bigger wheels is allowed to go for low profile tyres which look better than the thicker OEM tyres that come as a universal fitment.
